Trick or Treat

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

This was the first year that Hope went trick or treating and "got" it.  In the past, it was more  like just dragging her along with us.  She wasn't a part of the experience.    But this year, she proved to me that she understood what was going on.  She said  "Happy Halloween" and "trick or treat" several times throughout the night.  Last year, she could not say either.  So that alone was huge to us.

We headed out around 5:00.  Julia dressed as a cat and Hope was Cinderella.  Julia's friend joined us as well.

Ross wore his annual costume.  (He didn't shave for a year.)

Hope went up and up and down our whole street.  Then she was done. Ross returned home with her and handed out candy to the kids while I went with Julia, her friend and her friend's mom to the other streets in our neighborhood.

It was a fun night.
